Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing or using FunnyQRCode ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms ("Usage Rules"). The App is licensed, not sold, to you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to create QR codes that:

• contain malware, phishing links, or content that deceives users about the destination of the code;
• violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others;
• harass, defame or harm any person or entity.

You are solely responsible for the content you encode into QR codes and for where and how you distribute them.

4. Intellectual property

The App itself — including its design, code, name and icon — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. QR codes you create are yours; we claim no ownership over the content you generate with the App.

5. Warranty disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

7. Changes and termination

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may discontinue the App at any time; your locally stored data remains on your device.

Privacy Policy

1. Summary

FunnyQRCode is built privacy-first. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any of your personal data. Everything you create is processed and stored locally on your device.

2. Data we do not collect

• No account or sign-up — we never ask who you are.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs of any kind.
• No access to your contacts, location or microphone.
• Your QR content (links, text, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards) never leaves your device.

3. Data stored on your device

• QR history — codes you choose to save, including their content and style settings, are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. You can delete entries individually or clear all history in Settings.
• Preferences — settings such as appearance and export defaults are stored locally using UserDefaults.
• Photos — if you choose to save a QR code to Photos, it is written to your photo library at your request.

4. Camera permission

The App requests camera access only for the optional QR scanning feature. Camera frames are processed on-device solely to detect QR codes and are never recorded, stored or transmitted. If you decline, all other features continue to work.

5. Third-party services

The App contains no third-party services, servers or network calls related to your data. Sharing a QR code (via the system share sheet, AirDrop, Messages, etc.) happens through Apple's own system interfaces under your control.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the App works in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
