Overview

A classic attention exercise, stripped to its essentials

The Schulte table has been used since the 19th century to train peripheral vision and sustained attention. FunnySchulteGrid turns it into a fast, dark-mode training loop: pick a grid, tap 1 → N as quickly as you can, and compare every round against your own personal best.

01

Four difficulty levels

3×3 Warm Up, 4×4 Basic, 5×5 Standard and 6×6 Advanced. Cell spacing and corner radius adapt automatically so the board always fits the screen.

02

Fair, honest timing

The clock only starts on your first correct tap, so you are never penalised for getting settled. Pausing freezes the elapsed time — it does not keep running in the background.

03

Instant visual feedback

A correct tap lights up in sunset orange with a soft glow, then sinks to a dimmed state. A wrong tap flashes red and increments your miss counter. Haptics reinforce both.

04

Records that actually motivate

Each difficulty keeps its own best time, round count and record date, plus the gap against the previous best so a new record always feels earned.

05

Shuffle without losing progress

Rearrange the board mid-round: numbers you already tapped stay in place, the rest are redistributed. Your progress and the running timer are untouched.

06

Built for everyone

Full VoiceOver support with state spelled out in every cell label, Dynamic Type scaling, three levels of haptics, and full respect for Reduce Motion.

How it works

Three steps, then repeat

Start at 1

Numbers are dealt randomly across the grid. Tap 1 to start the timer, then continue in ascending order.

Use your peripheral vision

Fix your eyes on the centre of the board and let the edges do the work. Scanning cell by cell is exactly what this drill trains you out of.

Review and beat yourself

The result screen shows elapsed time, misses, accuracy and the gap against your previous best. Then just tap Play Again.
